Roland DG Group sponsored the “S-Pulse Football Clinic in Thailand 2024,” hosted by J.League (Japanese professional soccer league) club Shimizu S-Pulse. This community initiative invited children from local orphanages to a football clinic to support their physical and mental growth. Staff from our manufacturing subsidiary, Roland Digital Group (Thailand), participated and assisted in hosting the clinic.

The S-Pulse Football Clinic in Thailand 2024 is a community initiative by Shimizu S-Pulse that has been ongoing since 2017. The latest clinic, held on December 14–15, 2024, took place at three orphanages in Bangkok, bringing together around 120 children (approximately 40 children at each location). Under the guidance of professional players and coaches, the children enjoyed playing soccer in game-like formats while experiencing the joy of sports and teamwork. Staff and their families from sponsor companies also participated, engaging with the children.

On December 14, the first day of the event, 15 local staff members and their families, along with six Japanese staff from the Thai factory, joined the clinic. They played football with the children and players, creating memorable moments as the children beamed with excitement.

Children from the orphanages also received hand-me-down football boots donated by S-Pulse Soccer School students, enabling them to continue enjoying football after the event.
Additionally, the Thai factory staff created custom bottles as gifts for approximately 260 children across the three orphanages. Using the VersaOBJECT MO-240 benchtop UV flatbed printer, they printed soccer-themed designs, which delighted the children. Players Oki and Kato were also impressed, commenting, “It’s amazing that customized items can be made so quickly.”

An event connecting the Thai factory with the local community

The Thai factory, known for its lively workplace with many young staff members, regularly hosts internal events and company trips to strengthen ties between workers. In Thailand, where soccer is immensely popular and J.League draws attention, Thai factory staff and their families actively participated in the clinic.

On the event day, the Thai factory staff supported the clinic and joined their families in playing soccer with children from the orphanages, players, and sponsor company staff. They also worked together to prepare gifts for the children.

On the day before the clinic, Shimizu S-Pulse hosted a business networking event in Bangkok for partner companies, resident businesses, and local media, aiming to strengthen networks and foster business matching opportunities. The Thai factory also attended, deepening exchanges with local companies and media.

This event offered Thai factory staff a valuable opportunity to connect with the local community and fostered a sense of belonging and pride in the company among families. Roland DG Group remains committed to engaging in activities rooted in local communities.
