Roland DG sponsored the 3rd Nijiiro Yosakoi Festival, held around Hamamatsu Station on March 9, 2025, and organized by the Nijiiro Yosakoi Executive Committee, sharing the excitement of creativity through our products. In addition to providing venue panels and photo exhibition pieces produced with our printers, we set up a booth to enhance the event with hands-on customized merchandise creation.

Making Special Memories with Personalized Products
Nijiiro Yosakoi was launched in 2023 to promote Japanese Yosakoi dance in the Enshu region (the area around western Shizuoka) and revitalize Hamamatsu. This year’s event once again welcomed dozens of teams from across the country. For Roland DG, this marked our second year of sponsorship. Dancers and their supporters gathered in Hamamatsu, showcasing their hard-earned performances. To help them take home cherished memories, we offered an interactive experience where they could create personalized products.
At the main venue, we hosted a customized metal dog tag-making activity using our MPX series photo impact printers. With a simple operation, participants could imprint team logos and names. They selected the logo of their own or favorite team, entered names, and watched as the metal dog tag was imprinted before their eyes. Many enjoyed capturing the process on their smartphones.
Participants shared their excitement, saying, “I loved the unique experience not found at other Yosakoi events,” and “It was great to create a special tag for my favorite team.”
At the sub-venue, Hamamachi Plus pop-up space, visitors could create customized acrylic keychains. Against the backdrop of a large Nijiiro Yosakoi-themed panel, participants had their photos taken on the spot. Using the VersaSTUDIO BD-8 desktop flatbed UV printer, we printed their images onto puzzle-shaped acrylic keychains. Many visitors, including teams and families, posed creatively for their photos, later enjoying assembling their keychains like a puzzle.
Attendees expressed their satisfaction, saying, “I’m so happy to have made such a wonderful keepsake,” and “This original keychain will be a lasting memory.”
Watching the printing process up close, some visitors also asked about how the printer worked, showing keen interest in the technology.

Supporting Event Decorations
Roland DG also contributed to the venue decorations. Banners decorating the main stage, timetable boards placed throughout the venue, and photo exhibition pieces were all printed using our TrueVIS XP-640 eco-solvent inkjet printer. Its vivid color reproduction helped enhance the vibrant atmosphere of Nijiiro Yosakoi.
Additionally, we provided compact sacoches featuring the Nijiiro Yosakoi logo for volunteer staff. These sacoches were created by Roland DG employees using the TY-300 DTF (Direct-to-film) printer.

Enhancing the Event Experience
With this being our second year sponsoring Nijiiro Yosakoi, our discussions with the organizers allowed us to align our contributions with the event’s characteristics and needs. By showcasing the strengths of our products, we helped highlight the event’s appeal.
The turnout exceeded expectations, and our booth attracted many visitors who enjoyed creating unique merchandise while experiencing the excitement our products bring. Some participants commented, “It was great to make a souvenir exclusive to the event,” and “I’m happy to see a company with such technology based in Hamamatsu.”
Roland DG employees also reflected on the experience, saying, “It was a great opportunity to rediscover the amazing ability of our products to transform imagination into reality.”
Through our sponsorship and booth activities, we introduced more people to Roland DG through Yosakoi. We look forward to continuing to deliver excitement of creativity to community in the future.
