The stage is set for the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona
Following Tokyo, the TrueVIS Range Premiere event was held in Barcelona, Spain on January 19. About 40 journalists and 180 dealers from European countries attended the event.
The Circuit de Catalunya, the venue of the event, is known worldwide as the site of the Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix. It was selected because it is only 16 km from the office of Roland Digital Group Iberia, our largest sales subsidiary in Europe, and is one of the home bases of the BWT Alpine F1® Team, a TrueVIS user who spoke at the event.

Other events were also held at the venue to enable visitors to experience the stunning results that the TrueVIS series can achieve.
Bob Bell (pictured below), team chief technical officer from the BWT Alpine F1® Team, which has been using the TrueVIS series for printing graphics on its cars for many years, was invited to talk about the development of the cars and our partnership, which has continued since 2014. Joe McNamara, head of paint & graphics, also spoke remotely.
At the venue, there was also a live Alpine F1 vehicle wrapping. Team logos and various sponsor logos being applied.
Also on display were personalized skateboards with an original design by female pro skaters as another example of the use of the TrueVIS series printers. The designs were printed with the eco-solvent VG3-640 printer and then wrapped onto skateboards at Roland DG’s Creative Center in Barcelona. The skateboarders who collaborated on the design also gave a live performance at the venue.
Events are scheduled to be held in other regions, including North America, to showcase the latest TrueVIS series. We hope that this will be an opportunity for many people to imagine what they would like to achieve with our diverse inkjet printing technologies.
