DG DIMENSE Product Training Empowers Overseas Subsidiaries to Facilitate Sales

Roland DG conducted DIMENSE Product Training for representatives from overseas sales subsidiaries in the Asia-Pacific region on February 5 to 7, 2024. A training session for the European and American regions was held earlier. The objective was to enhance their understanding of DG DIMENSE and enable them to successfully market their products in their various regions. The training included lectures on product overviews and practical training using the Dimensor S inkjet printer. Staff from our group who were handling DIMENSE solutions for the first time deepened their understanding and motivation through this training.

DG DIMENSE is Roland DG's joint venture established in Lithuania in October 2023. DG DIMENSE's Dimensor S inkjet printer achieves full-color printing and embossing in a single process, making it uniquely suitable for a wide range of interior decorations, including wallpaper. Recognizing the potential expansion of digitalization in wallpaper printing, we established the joint venture to enter the market in earnest.

During the hands-on training using the Dimensor S, the mechanism and structure were explained, and the process from setting up printing media to actual printing was demonstrated. Attendees carefully examined the Dimensor S during the training.

Additionally, attendees experienced hand painting on media embossed with the Dimensor S by applying commercially available paints with spatulas, creating a fusion of digital printing and manual creativity to add value. Participants in the training personally handled painting tools and experienced unique artistic results.

The training also showcased wall decorations created using the Dimensor S in the exhibition space at our new head office’s entrance. Attendees closely observed the texture and color details of wall decorations produced through both printing and hand painting.
