DIMENSE Digital Printing Solution Wins Inspire Award for Best Wallcoverings/Wall Treatment at Boutique Design New York (BDNY)

Hamamatsu, Japan, December 17, 2024 – Roland DG Corporation, a leading manufacturer of wide-format inkjet printers and printer/cutters, announced that its joint venture, DG DIMENSE, in collaboration with its U.S.-based sales and marketing subsidiary, Roland DGA, won the NKBA Manhattan Inspire Award “Best Wall Coverings/Wall Treatment” for its DIMENSE large format digital printing solution at the Boutique Design New York (BDNY) 2024.

BDNY 2024 took place on November 10–11, 2024, in New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. At the event, DG DIMENSE and Roland DGA exhibited samples of a variety of wallcoverings/décor samples, including paintable DIMENSE wallcoverings and new wallpaper products in development, and conducted live demonstrations of the Dimensor S inkjet printer. These exhibits were highly praised for their functionality, sustainability, and aesthetic considerations.
Produced by the NKBA-Manhattan Chapter, the Inspire Awards recognize the most innovative and exciting exhibitors at this event. The winners of the award were selected by NKBA Programs Co-chair Diana Mosher and a panel of esteemed judges.

About DIMENSE

The DIMENSE digital printing solution combines a specialized inkjet printer, proprietary media that has the property of foaming when heated, a structured ink to control foaming, and CMYK water-based ink that is safe for use indoors to create 3D textured designs and full-color graphics in a single, seamless process. After printing, the media is heated by the printer’s on-board heater, which causes areas not coated with structured ink to foam up to 1.5 mm thick, faithfully realizing the envisioned textured design. This innovative solution enables on-demand output of graphics with a three-dimensional presence.
