Roland DG Collaborates with Suzuki and ALTILAN on “From Hamamatsu to Space: A Space Journey with the Space Jimny”

Hamamatsu, Japan, November 27, 2024 – Roland DG Corporation, a leading manufacturer of wide-format inkjet printers and printer/cutters worldwide, is pleased to announce that it will hold an event, “From Hamamatsu to Space: A Space Journey with the Space Jimny” on December 8 at the Suzuki Plaza in collaboration with Suzuki Motor Corporation and ALTILAN Corporation. The collaboration between the three companies – all based in Hamamatsu – was made possible by their shared desire to revitalize Hamamatsu and to encourage children to take an interest in space.

The “Space Jimny”, which is wrapped with a unique design inspired by the exploration and curiosity of space, was jointly developed among the three companies. The one-of-a-kind vehicle will be on display at the event. Visitors can experience a simulated drive of the Space Jimny in space using a driving simulator and receive limited-edition stickers. Roland DG cooperated in the production of the Space Jimny with their TrueVIS AP-640 latex printer and the stickers with their TrueVIS MG-640 UV printer/cutter.

After the event, the three companies plan to visit elementary schools in Hamamatsu in January with the Space Jimny to lecture on space and its possibilities.
