VersaUV LEF-12 Desktop UV-LED Printer Updated to be Even Easier to Use, and with Vastly Improved Work Efficiency

Hamamatsu, Japan, October 12, 2012 – Roland DG Corporation, a worldwide leader in wide-format UV-LED inkjet technologies, has announced an update of the VersaUV LEF-12 UV-LED inkjet printer with the addition of functions for vastly improved work efficiency.

The VersaUV LEF-12 is a flatbed UV-LED inkjet printer that allows users to directly print a wide variety of solid materials on demand. Since its launch in June 2011, this machine has come to be widely used around the world, particularly for personalization of gifts and goods with printed photos and original designs applied to smart phone cases, promotional items and more. Users can produce value-added results on demand. The machine has also been praised as a business tool promoting access to new business, although on the other hand we have also received many requests for further improvements to productivity, which is why Roland has made three functional enhancements to the VersaUV LEF-12 in order to enable use with greater efficiency.

New function 1

We have drastically simplified the procedure before printing, such as height settings, making set-up possible in as little as one quarter of the time it has taken to date and enabling reduction of total work time.

New function 2

A new function has been adopted to enable consecutive output of printing jobs. When multi-layer printing is required, such as when applying gloss finishes after white printing, this too can be performed automatically and efficiently.

New function 3

By limiting print head movement to the printing area, printing work can now be carried out with greater efficiency. This makes it possible to print in a shorter time when printing small areas.
