New Roland DG TrueVIS Resin and UV Printers Earn BLI 2024 Pick Awards from Keypoint Intelligence

Hamamatsu, Japan, October 4, 2023 – Roland DG Corporation, a leading manufacturer of wide-format inkjet printers and printer/cutters, announced that the AP-640 resin and LG-640 UV models of its TrueVIS series wide-format inkjet printers and printer/cutters earned BLI (Buyers Lab) 2024 Pick Awards while receiving high marks in evaluation tests conducted by Keypoint Intelligence. The AP-640 (CMYK) was honored in the Outstanding Entry-Level CMYK Eco-Solvent/Latex 54”/64” Printer category while the LG-640 (CMYKReOrWhWh) was awarded in the Outstanding UV 54”/64” Printer category.

We were especially impressed by the largest color gamut measured of any latex/resin printers tested to date, and how it accurately reproduced PANTONE brand colors, as well as the very stable reproducibility with minimal color and dimensional differences over a 30m wallpaper printing test. We believe this recently introduced resin printer is going to be a strong rival against its competitors,” Sweetnam said.

“The LG-640 UV printer was evaluated for two ink configurations, Dual-CMYK and CMYKReOrWhWh. The Dual-CMYK model is truly a printer designed to offer the highest levels of productivity, while also providing high quality output with impressive color gamut and color accuracy. The other model with CMYKReOrWhWh ink is designed to offer the highest levels of flexibility to provide high-quality output results in the most appropriate print mode, whether the job requires strict print quality or high productivity.
