Important Announcement for XC-540MT Users

This is to inform you of an issue regarding the model XC-540MT printer which was shipped from October 2009 to July 2010. We became aware that due to firmware problem, this product may become in-operative, and in the worst case may emit smoke from or around the control panel or the main panel may overheat. Please turn off the main power switch and contact the distributor if it starts to give out smoke or the main panel overheats.

The countermeasure for this potential problem will be to update the firmware. We have tested and prepared the necessary firmware for such countermeasure. Service staff of the distributor will contact users of this product to help and support with the upgrade of the firmware free of charge. Until the above countermeasure is actually taken, please turn off the sub power switch when not in use.
