Roland Offers New Addition to SOLJET PRO II EX Printer Family

Hamamatsu, Japan, October 14, 2003 – Roland DG Corporation, a worldwide leader in the manufacture of wide-format inkjet printers, today introduced the 64" SOLJET PRO II SJ-640 EX printer.

"The SJ-640 EX is a very feature-rich machine which fits between the earlier introduced SJ-540 EX and the SJ-740 EX, which at 74" is the largest in the SOLJET PRO II EX family."

The SOLJET PRO II EX Series can print on a wide variety of commercially available uncoated media. Roland provides over 50 profiles of the most popular uncoated media to keep signmakers' costs low. Graphics are UV, scratch and water resistant up to three years outdoors*¹. For indoor use, the SJ-640EX provides unsurpassed photographic reproduction and color fidelity with the combination of up to 1440 dpi resolution and variable droplet technology.

ECO-SOL INK, especially developed for the Roland SOLJET EX Series, is formulated to be gentle for both users and the environment. No special ventilation or environment equipment is required. Roland now offers the SOLJET PRO II EX in four versions: SJ-740EX (74" printer), SJ-640EX (64" printer), SJ-540EX (54" printer) and SC-540EX (54" printer/cutter).
